France transfers three LRU multiple-launch rocket systems to Ukraine - a modified version of the M270

The French government plans to transfer multiple rocket launchers to Ukraine.

Here's What We Know

This was told by military analysts @oryxspioenkop. We are talking about 3 LRU (Lance-roquettes unitaire) multiple rocket launchers. It is an upgraded version of the American M270. By the way, in France there are 12 such launchers in service and 40 LRM (unmodified versions) are in storage.

Flashback

The M270 is a U.S. tracked Multiple Launch Rocket System (MLRS) based on the Bradley BMP. It is designed to perform combat missions of engaging and destroying from enclosed firing positions at a distance of 2 to 500 km (depending on the projectile). It can be used at any time of day and in any weather conditions. One such unit can carry up to 12 missiles. There are 9 such launchers in service of the AFU now.
