Gotham Knights on next-gen consoles only runs at 30 fps

Gotham Knights was originally scheduled for release on last generation consoles as well, but then the development team dropped it to give gamers a "better gaming experience," but as it turns out, things aren't so easy with PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S either - the game won't have performance settings there and will only run at 30 fps.

Here's What We Know

The information was announced by Fleur Marti, the executive producer of the game, on Discord server on Friday, October 14. She tells us that the decision was due to "the types of features we have in the game, such as detached co-op and a detailed open world."

"I know a lot of people are interested in having performance modes in the game. Because of the types of features we have in the game, such as a detached cooperative experience in a very detailed open world, it's not easy to implement because you can't fix that just by expanding the textures in the game. For this reason, our game doesn't have the ability to switch between performance/quality modes on consoles," Marty says.

The game is scheduled to be released on October 21 for PS 5, Xbox Series and PC.
