Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 competitor: MediaTek is preparing the flagship SoC Dimensity 9200 with Cortex-X3 cores

Last November, MediaTek introduced its flagship Dimensity 9000 processor. In July of this year, an improved version of the Dimensity 9000+ was released, and now the Taiwanese manufacturer is preparing its successor for release.

Here's What We Know

According to insider information, the new processor will be called MediaTek Dimensity 9200. It will compete with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.

SoC will be built on a 4-nanometer process. In addition, it should get ARM Cortex-X3 cores with increased performance up to 25% and new graphics.

The MediaTek Dimensity 9200 is to be released in November. OPPO and vivo smartphones will be the first to receive the new chipset.
