France has handed over a new package of military aid to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

It is about howitzers TRF1. Sebastien Lecornu, Minister of Defense of France, told about it on the air of LCI TV channel. Unfortunately, Lecornu did not disclose the number of weapons.

Flashback

The TRF1 is a French 155mm self-propelled gun. It was produced from 1981 to 1993 by GIAT. TRF1 was designed to equip artillery regiments of infantry and tank divisions. It could travel independently at a speed of 8 km/h. The gun has semi-automatic loading, range up to 30 km (depending on the shell) and rate of fire up to 6 rounds per minute. The howitzer is served by 7 people.
