The game was not included in the deal: Sony forgot to put God of War Ragnarok activation code in collector's edition

God of War Ragnarok was released on November 9 and we can already say that the game launch was a success. The creation of Santa Monica Studio is praised by journalists and gamers. Everyone notes how incredible the new journey of Kratos and Atreus was. However, Sony spoiled the release in one aspect. After all, as it turned out, some collector's editions of God of War Ragnarok simply lack the game itself.

Here's What We Know

According to twistedvoxel, some people who purchased the collector's edition write that there is no code for the game in the box. Those who purchased the version for PS5 received a copy for PS4, despite the fact that the "Redeem Code" flyer clearly stated that it was intended for PlayStation 5.

So, PS5 owners are forced to pay an additional $10 to install the update that will allow to run the PS4 version of God of War Ragnarok on the current generation console.

It is worth noting that Sony stated that it would not put a disc with the game, but only a tablet with an activation code. However, in the end, it put neither one nor the other.

And one Reddit user shared a photo that his collector's edition has two codes to activate in-game bonuses that are the same, but the game is still missing.

The most interesting thing about this story is that the boxes were completely closed and other things that are included in the collector's edition are in place.

On Twitter, they have now created an account"GOW Collector's Edition Mishap!", where users talk about the curiosity that happened to them.

Sony has not yet provided any response, so owners of the collector's edition will just have to wait.
