Zelenskyy: France will transfer modern armored vehicles ACMAT Bastion with a range of 1400 km to Ukraine

France continues to help Ukraine against the Russian invaders by preparing a new package of military aid.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy shared the information after a phone conversation with Emmanuel Macron. Macron promised to deliver ACMAT Bastion armored vehicles to the AFU. Unfortunately, the number and timing of deliveries is still unknown.

Flashback

The Bastion is a modern French wheeled armored vehicle produced by ACMAT. The Bastion is built on the chassis of the VLRA armored vehicle. The vehicle was announced in 2010. It was created specifically for the French special forces. Besides France the USA and African countries also use the vehicle. The vehicle has a cruising range of 1400 km and can move along the highway at a speed of 110 km/h. Bastion is equipped with armor of STANAG 4569 standard. That is, the truck is not afraid of mines and bullets up to 7.62 mm.
