Sweden's Defense Minister Pål Jonson stated this morning that Sweden might send its Stridsvagn 122 tanks (modernized Leopard 2A5s) to Ukraine.
The Stridsvagn 122 is an upgraded version of the German Leopard 2A5 tank that is produced under license in Sweden. The tank has a reinforced running gear, additional armor, square shaped spotlights, safety belts, and the French GALAX smoke grenade launcher system. The Stridsvagn 122 was specifically designed to fight in Swedish environments, including wooded areas and urban areas.
