Synacktiv specialists hacked into Tesla's security system. They received two rewards for doing so: money and Elon Musk's electric car.
Here's What We Know
The Tesla security hack took place at the Pwn2Own information security conference in Vancouver. At first, the specialists managed to bypass the security check system.
Synacktiv researchers then set out to hack into the Tesla Model 3 electric car's entertainment system. They successfully achieved it using Bluetooth.
Tesla developers are already studying the hackers' actions to improve the security of their electric cars. And for the successful hack the Synacktiv team received a Tesla Model 3 car and a cash reward of $100,000.
