Rheinmetall plans to produce ammunition, Panther KF51 tanks and air defence systems in Ukraine

German arms manufacturer Rheinmetall is going to set up production of its products in Ukraine.

Here's What We Know

The company's CEO Armin Papperger said this during a press conference in Düsseldorf, the German newspaper Handelsblatt reported. In the next few weeks Rheinmetall will sign cooperation agreements with Ukrainian companies.

The German concern plans to establish in Ukraine the production of ammunition as well as Panther KF51 tanks and air defence systems (most probably, Skynex anti-aircraft systems). The Ukrainian side will invest in the future projects.
