Poland transfers 14 Soviet-era MiG-29 multirole fighters to Ukraine

The Ukrainian Air Force has received 28 aircraft from foreign partners. Half of them were handed over by Poland.

Here's What We Know

Poland has sent 14 Soviet-era MiG-29 multirole fighters to Ukraine. This was reported by Poland's permanent representation to the EU.

A few days ago the Polish Defence Minister Mariusz Błaszczak visited Canada and declared that Ukraine had received 10 planes. As you can see, four more fighters were delivered quite promptly.

The Ukrainian Air Force will probably receive five more MiG-29s in the future. This is the number of multi-role fighters that Germany allowed Poland to send to Ukraine in the middle of last month.

Also, the Polish Permanent Delegation to the EU said it had delivered 325 tanks. In total, Ukraine has received 575 combat vehicles.
