6 Kinnzhal air ballistic missiles, 9 Kalibr cruise missiles and 6 Shahed-136/131 UAVs: Ukrainian air defence repulsed all Russian air attacks overnight

On the night of May 16, Russia launched another air attack on Ukrainian territory.

Here's What We Know

According to the AFU Air Force Command, the occupiers attacked Ukraine from the north, south and east. A total of 18 missiles of various types were fired. 6 MiG-31K aircraft fired 6 Kh-47M2 Kynzhal airborne ballistic missiles, 9 Kalibr cruise missiles from ships in the Black Sea and 3 ground-launched missiles (S-400, Iskander-M).

In addition, Russia also launched 6 Shahed-136/131 strike drones over Ukraine and conducted reconnaissance with 3 operational-tactical Orlan-10 and Supercam drones.

Thanks to the work of Ukrainian air defence, all aerial targets were destroyed.
