CLAP: the Ukrainian system "smart house" will appear in 20 thousand apartments

The Ukrainian startup CLAP (Clever Apartment) introduced the homonymous system for home automation. In 2018, it will be installed in 20 thousand Kiev apartments in the houses of the company "Ukrbud", however, retail sales of CLAP are also included in the plans of the team.

How it works?

The CLAP consists of a coordination hub combined with a video intercom of the control panel, thermostats for controlling heating devices, motion sensors, sensors for measuring temperature, humidity and other parameters. Because most of the elements of the system are wireless, you do not need to do any repairs to install the system, and the procedure itself will take about an hour. Manage via the mobile app for Android and iOS or the web interface.

Thanks to intelligent CLAP algorithms, users can save up to 40% on utility bills. The system chooses the most efficient heating scheme for an apartment, and if multi-tariff meters are installed in the house, it will take this into account when planning the use of energy resources. CLAP reads the metrics from all the counters and at the end of the month reports how much to pay. With an attached bank card, you can pay bills directly from the application.

CLAP supports integration with security companies and is able to send them a notification of an alarm. The picture from the cameras can be viewed online. In addition, the cloud stores data about who called the door and went in / out of the apartment. In the event of a flood, the system will signal the shutdown of the electric shut-off valves on the riser, and in the event of a fire, the smoke detector will alert the guard and the concierge.

Users can adjust the levels of access to the system so that, for example, children can adjust the temperature only in their own room. In the application there is a function of calling the master at home, but at first it will be available only to residents of houses "Ukrbud".

The development of CLAP took two years. According to the creators, this is the first full-fledged "smart" house system, fully created in Ukraine. The startup was founded by the Kyivan Alexander Poimanov. Today the team has 50 members.

When and how much?

The company has already agreed to install CLAP systems in 19 housing complexes in the period from 2018 to 2020. The first smart apartments are in Spas Sky LCD, which will be put into operation next spring.

CLAP stores will appear in autumn 2018. The cost of the system for ordinary buyers will depend on the configuration, more precise information yet.
