Tablet Huawei MediaPad M5 will receive a chip Kirin 960 and a metal case

The first rumors appeared about the un-advertised tablet Huawei MediaPad M5 - the novelty should become the successor of the model MediaPad M3. The name with the number 4 Chinese people miss - they, like some Asian countries, it means bad news and other troubles.

What was told

Huawei MediaPad M5 has a diagonal of 8.4 inches with a resolution of 2560 × 1600 pixels, a powerful chip Kirin 960 and a metal case (aluminum). Manage the gadget will be a fresh Android 8.0 OS with the proprietary EMUI 8.0 shell. The device will be equipped with a Cat modem. 4 LTE, standard 3.5 mm audio jack and USB Type-C port. The presence of a fingerprint scanner is reported. The estimated price of the novelty is 350 US dollars. The release date is not known exactly, but it is expected that the announcement will be held at the January exhibition CES 2018.

What to expect

We expect a compact, stylish and relatively inexpensive tablet, which does not disgrace the pleasant impressions of the MediaPad M3. We hope for the same quality screen, a productive platform and a great sound (like for a tablet).
