CES 2018: Matrix PowerWatch X is an improved version of the smart clock that is powered by the heat of the human body

In November 2016, the startup Matrix introduced a unique smart watch PowerWatch. Their counterpart is that the battery of the gadget was being charged from the heat of the human body. Now the manufacturer has brought to the exhibition CES 2018 an improved model of its unusual "smart" clock Matrix PowerWatch X.

Features

PowerWatch X is equipped with a battery for 200 mAh. It is charged using energy from the human body and the energy-efficient Ambi Q processor. If the watch is removed, they go into standby mode and can be in this condition for up to two years.

What is inside

The updated model of smart watches was equipped with a more fashionable and aggressive design, a solid frame, improved protection against water (it can be immersed to a depth of 200 m, up to this could be at 50 m). The 1.2-inch display has not gone anywhere. PowerWatch X as before can measure the distance traveled, count calories, take into account the sleep time, use a timer and stopwatch. They also have their own application on Android and iOS. But now the "smart" clock has taught to inform the owner about SMS, calls and notifications from the smartphone. Matrix PowerWatch X is considered burned calories very accurately because it uses information from the Ambi Q energy converter.

Release date and price

Improved smart watches Matrix PowerWatch X will appear on the market before the end of the first quarter of this year. Now you can pre-order and get a gadget for $ 249. Then the price will rise to 279 dollars. Together with this, the first version of PowerWatch fell in price from 199 to 169 US dollars.
