The brand Nokia for the year rose to 147 positions in the rating of Brand Finance

Brand Finance published an updated rating of the 500 most expensive brands in the world, in which Nokia in just one year rose from 335 to 188.

The Renaissance of the Legend

A major contribution to brand growth was made by HMD Global, thanks to which in 2017 Nokia smartphones returned to the market. In the fourth quarter, the company sold more devices than HTC, Lenovo / Motorola or Asus. The Finnish brand took a good start and quickly rose to 11th place in the world ranking of manufacturers.

In its assessments, Brand Finance takes into account the success of the telecom giant Nokia Networks, as well as the Nokia Technologies division, which produces health gadgets (including the products of the former Withings).

The results of companies below the first hundred are not published in the general rating, so the current value of the Nokia brand is not known. In 2017, it was $ 4.9 billion, and the minimum of $ 2 billion was recorded in 2014, when the poor mobile business of Finns was bought by Microsoft (later regretting its decision).
