Samsung has released a February security patch for the Galaxy J5 and J7 (2017).

What is known

February security patch is very important, because it eliminates Specter and Meltdown - the most dangerous vulnerabilities ever discovered on Android and Windows. In addition, the manufacturer has fixed some problems related to its own software. The firmware came out with the numbers J727UUEU3ARB1 (J7) and J530FXXU2ARB2M (J5).

When to expect

Update for J7 is available so far only in the US, and for J5 - in France. In any case, the global launch should take place in the near future.
