What is known
According to the source, the new chip will receive a built-in AI architecture with a neural processing module (NPU). It's the same architecture as the top-end Kirin 970 processor. In addition, it has two Cortex-A72 cores and four Cortex A-53 cores. The Kirin 670 is built on the 12-nm process of the TSMC FinFet. It will be shipped in conjunction with the video accelerator Mali-G72 MP12, which first debuted with Kirin 970 in Huawei Mate 10.
When to expect
The announcement of the new chip will take place in the near future and soon we will see smartphones based on it.
