A Ukrainian FPV drone hit the launcher of a modern Russian Buk-M3 surface-to-air missile system

An FPV drone of the Ukrainian Armed Forces attacked a Russian Buk-M3 surface-to-air missile system. The self-propelled launcher came under attack.

Here's What We Know

FPV drones for $500 very often attack Russian air defence systems. For example, a few days ago we wrote about the defeat of a self-propelled launcher of the "Tor" surface-to-air missile system.

Now a Buk-M3 firing unit has been hit. The Russians were able to camouflage it, but it did not help. The video shows the hit of a kamikaze drone and the subsequent explosion. The extent of the damage is not specified.

"Buk-M3" is a new Russian anti-aircraft missile system. It was only adopted into service in 2016 and belongs to medium-range air defence systems. The anti-aircraft missiles can intercept aerodynamic targets within a radius of up to 70 kilometres. The high-altitude range is 5-35 kilometres.
