Google, most likely, will "kill" the streaming service of music and podcasts by Play Music

Last year, there was news that Google was going to introduce competitor Apple Music and Spotify with the name YouTube Remix. And now, according to the resource Droid-Life, it became known that the announcement of the application should take place this year.

What was told

According to the resource, YouTube Remix will replace the existing streaming service for music and podcasts Play Music. All users will be automatically transferred to it. Google has already signed contracts with several music labels. Most likely, the rest of the library (about 40 million songs) will move from the Play Music app.

Information about the new features yet. But, for certain, there will be an "intelligent" selection of songs depending on preferences, time of day and location. In addition, new features should be added. In any case, such a decision does not seem bad. The main thing is that subscription prices do not increase and the transition of users was as painless as possible.

One of the representatives of YouTube did not deny this information, adding that the company had long planned to combine the subscriptions of YouTube Red and Play Music. Perhaps more details about the new music service will be found at the Google I / O 2018 conference, which will be held from 8 to 11 May.
