Officially: HTC U12 + with two dual cameras will be presented on May 23
HTC finally announced the date of the announcement of the new flagship smartphone HTC U12 + - May 23, 2018. In the teaser the company showed all the "insides" of the gadget, and here we were waited with a surprise.
A smartphone is a mystery
In the photo of the disassembled HTC U12 +, you can see a dual front camera and two main camera modules. There is a hybrid tray with a microSD card slot or a second SIM, and only one port is USB Type-C. Long live the adapters! At the same time, it is completely incomprehensible the purpose of the two components at the top:
It looks like some kind of optical sensors. Maybe this is the hardware part of the face recognition system? Or another unnecessary experiment with control in the style of recognition of compression, as in HTC U11 + and Google Pixel 2? We learn the details at the presentation, unless, of course, the insiders outstrip the company.
HTC itself claims that their new device is more than just a sum of features:
Coming Soon. A phone that is more than the sum of its specs. pic.twitter.com/m2skJSK0qt

What else is known?
The rumors are attributed to the HTC U12 + extended display with a diagonal of 6 inches, top processor Snapdragon 845, 6/8 GB of RAM, a main camera for 12 + 16 megapixels (although the second module can also be 12MP), a front camera at 8 + 8 MP and battery capacity of 3400 mAh.
