China presents its own analogue of Shahed

At an exhibition in Saudi Arabia, a Chinese company showed a drone of its own production that looks like a Shahed.

Here's What We Know

At the World Defence Show 2024, a new "kamikaze drone" called ASN-301 was presented, which is particularly similar to the Iranian Shahed-136.

The main function of the Chinese drone is to penetrate enemy airspace and wait for a radar signal. When the ASN-301 is detected, it is automatically aimed at the target and delivers an accurate strike. In other words, the drone can destroy radar defence systems.

The manufacturers claim that the warhead is equipped with a non-contact laser fuze with a range of 20 metres. Weighing 135 kg and measuring 2.5 metres long, the drone can reach a maximum speed of 220 km/h, but has a range of only 288 km.

It is also noted that the homing system can identify targets within a radius of about 25 km and is programmed to hit up to eight designated targets.
