Ukrainian Armed Forces destroy Russian electronic warfare system "Palantyn" (video)

The Ukrainian Defence Forces destroyed the latest Palantyn electronic warfare system in the Zaporizhzhia sector.

Here's What We Know

During reconnaissance, UAV operators of the 3rd separate regiment of the Special Operations Forces spotted a Russian operational and tactical electronic warfare system "Palantyn". As noted, this complex was used by the occupiers for electronic reconnaissance and interference with Ukrainian communication systems.

Ukrainian troops transmitted the coordinates of this target and successfully destroyed it using the HIMARS missile system. As you can see in the video, the first strike missed, so two occupants managed to get out and escape, but the next missile completely destroyed the facility.

Flashback

The Palantyn system is one of the latest developments of the Russian military-industrial complex, as it was put into operation only in 2019. The system is designed to combat radio communication and electronic intelligence systems. Its capabilities allow it to "suppress" enemy electronic systems in the ultra-short-wave and short-wave bands. In addition, Palantyn can interfere with cellular and trunking communications.
