A new trailer for action-platformer Animal Well showed off atmospheric gameplay footage and revealed the game's release date

Lone developer Billy Basso has revealed the release date for the dystopian action-platformer Animal Well.

Here's What We Know

The new Animal Well trailer shows that the players are waiting for the classic Metroidvania: they will have to explore atmospheric and a bit creepy locations, filled with various aggressive creatures. As befits games of this genre, Animal Well will have a lot of hidden passages, non-obvious options and secrets, which, as the developer says, "gamers will be finding for years".

The game will be published by Bigmode Games, a company founded by a popular YouTube blogger under the nickname videogamedunkey.

Judging by the trailer, Animal Well may well repeat the success of another indie hit, Hollow Knight.

When We Can Expect It

Animal Well will be released on 9 May on PC(Steam), Nintendo Switch and PS5.
