Samsung has started updating the Galaxy Tab A8 to One UI 6.0 based on Android 14

Samsung's affordable Galaxy Tab A8 tablet which launches in 2021, is finally starting to receive a major update to One UI 6.0.

Here's What We Know

Samsung has started rolling out the One UI 6.0 software update for the Galaxy Tab A8. This update is based on Android 14 and includes a security patch dated December 2023. The software update is available only in India for now and will gradually roll out to other regions later.

There will be many new features available for the tablet such as new features in the Quick Access Bar, two-handed drag and drop and simplified icon labels on the home screen, Windows connectivity, new emoji design in Samsung keyboard, improved Weather widget, new features in Camera, Gallery, Photo Editor and much more.

It's worth mentioning that this is the third major Android update for the Galaxy Tab A8. Since Samsung's budget tablets have 3 years of software support - this could be the last major update for this device.
