Here's What We Know

In addition to the cornerstone of the project, Iceland will also invest in equipment for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

The partner country's Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed that the percentage of women in the army has been growing, especially in the last two years. Therefore, in order to make the servicewomen feel better, they will purchase uniforms, bulletproof vests, medical supplies and hygiene products worth 500,000 euros.

Foreign Minister Bjarni Benediktsson said that in this way, his country wants to protect not only the Ukrainian people, but also international law in a broader context and its own security interests.

It is expected that the first deliveries of shells under the Czech initiative will take place in April this year.
