Details and character roster of the unannounced Marvel Universe online game have been revealed

A new game in the Marvel universe will be officially announced today.

Earlier insider Kurakasis shared information about the game under the alleged name of Marvel Rivals, and now his information has been expanded by TheStreamr and confirmed by insider Miller Ross, who was the first to report details of Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League and Marvelʼs Avengers.

Here's What We Know

TheStreamr has learnt that Marvel Rivals is incorrectly labelled as a shooter, as not all characters have firearms, only those who have previously wielded them in other works of the Marvel universe have them. The rest of the characters are satisfied with cold weapons or supernatural abilities.

The game will be released only on PC (Steam, EGS) and consoles, no mobile versions are planned.

Only PvP modes will appear in Marvel Rivals, there will be no PvE content in the game, at least it is not expected at the release.

The game will feature a lot of characters familiar from the Marvel universe. A screenshot of some of the characters, including Hulk, The Punisher, Loki, Doctor Strange, Iron Man, Spider-Man, Rocket Raccoon, Mantis and many others, has appeared online. Insider Miller Ross confirmed the veracity of this list.

Obviously, each character will get unique abilities and powers, so the gameplay for each of them will be significantly different. Presumably, the similarities to Overwatch were meant by this.

The presentation of the still officially untitled game will take place today - 27 March at 16:00 CET.
