In a Reddit AMA post, representatives of the Google Home and Nest teams confirmed that support for devices such as the Nest Hello Video Doorbell is ongoing. It is also expected that other Nest cameras released in 2015 will also receive the necessary updates to integrate with the Google Home app in the future.

According to Google, the company is not going to stop supporting older products. Consistent updates and integration with new Google Home features give users confidence that their smart devices will continue to work effectively.
