Female protagonist and changed ending: System Shock Remake developers talked about the biggest update and revealed its release date

Developers from Nightdive studio published information about the biggest update 1.2 for the remake of the cult game System Shock (2023) and named its release date.

Here's What We Know

The long-awaited patch will be released on the 11th of April and will introduce big changes to the game, the main one being the ability to choose a female protagonist.

This option was promised to backers on Kickstarter on condition that a certain amount of money could be raised, and now, finally, the hacker will appear in the game. The choice of this character will not affect gameplay, but will significantly change the atmosphere of System Shock.

In addition, Nightdive, by numerous requests of gamers, will change the fight with the final boss, as well as make adjustments to the ending of the game.

Recall, so far System Shock Remake is only available on PC, and on 21 May the game will finally be Years of waiting are coming to an end: the release date for the console versions of System Shock remake has been announced both current generations.
