TCL launches 32R83Q 2K gaming monitor with 170Hz refresh rate, AMD FreeSync Premium and NVIDIA G-SYNC technologies in Europe

TCL, traditionally known for its televisions, is also engaged in the production of gaming monitors. Recently, one of such monitors called TCL 34R83Q was released on the global market.

Here's What We Know

The new 34-inch monitor features a 1500R curved screen that is designed to enhance gaming and professional work through an immersive visual experience. At the heart of the 34R83Q is a VA panel with "Fast-HVA" technology developed by TCL's subsidiary, CSOT. It features a resolution of 3440 x 1440 pixels, a high contrast ratio of 4000:1 and wide viewing angles of 178/178 degrees.

The monitor supports a refresh rate of 170Hz and a GtG response time of 1ms, making it suitable for competitive gaming. It also includes AMD FreeSync Premium and NVIDIA G-SYNC technologies for smooth, tear-free gaming. The 34R83Q is highly accurate across the colour range, offering 10-bit colour depth and 95% Adobe RGB, 97% DCI-P3 and 99% sRGB colour spaces.

Key specifications of the TCL 34R83Q monitor

The new monitor from TCL is also Pantone tested and factory calibrated to ensure accurate colour reproduction. With 1152 Mini LED backlight zones, the monitor achieves a peak HDR brightness of 1600 nits, gaining VESA DisplayHDR 1400 certification.

Price & When We Can Expect It

Although TCL hasn't officially announced pricing and availability, the 34R83Q is reportedly being sold by some French retailers for €1,199.
