New software is now available for the Galaxy S21 FE

Samsung is actively updating its smartphones with the latest security patches. Some smartphones from the Fan Edition series, such as the Galaxy S20 FE and Galaxy S23 FE, have already received the latest software update for April. Now it's the turn of the latest model in the series, the Galaxy S21 FE, to be updated as well.

Here's What We Know

The European variations of the G990B and G990B2 models have received the April software update with firmware version G990BXXS7FXD2 and G990B2XXS6FXD2 respectively. The update brings about 27 improvements to the Android OS and another 17 fixes for Samsung devices . Specifically for phones with a Qualcomm processor, a critical bug has been fixed.

This is a regular, monthly device security update, but it is expected to expand to more models of the big One UI 6.1 update from next month. The Galaxy S21 FE model will also get it soon.
