New changes to lock screen widgets in Android 15: Google is testing moving Quick Look to the bottom, similar to iOS

Google is testing changes to the lock screen widgets for Android 15, which may move Quick Look to the bottom of the screen.

Here's What We Know

Currently, Quick Look is located at the top of the screen, right below the date. However, innovations may lead to it appearing at the bottom, similar to the structure of Live Activities in iOS. This is one of the initiatives that could lead to the return of lock screen widgets on Android.

While this change may be limited to tablets, Google is also exploring ways to implement it on phones. Shifting At a Glance to the bottom of the lock screen could open up opportunities for other third-party widgets to be displayed on this platform.

However, before implementing these innovations, Google has to solve several technical issues, including adapting widgets for limited space and ensuring system stability.
