Xiaomi introduces Mijia Smart Dumbbells: smart dumbbells with workout tracking
Xiaomi has expanded its line of gadgets under the Mijia brand and introduced Mijia Smart Dumbbells.
Here's What We Know
This device is designed for home aerobic training, provides training data tracking and connects to the Mi Home app.
The new product includes two bases and four removable weight plates that easily attach to the black metal handles. Each dumbbell has a built-in screen that displays information about calories burned and workout time. Thanks to a three-axis gyroscope and accelerometer, the device can accurately track the user's movements.
The Mijia Smart Dumbbells come in a box with two bars and four adjustable plates that can be attached to the bars. The dumbbells are white, and one of them has a black bar and a power button. This black bar displays your workout data, including calorie burn information and a timer. There's also a built-in 3-axis gyroscope and accelerometer for motion tracking.
The Mi Home app offers advanced features, including storing your workout history, generating reports and providing personalised workout recommendations. Users can also customise exercise modes and intensity.
The maximum weight of one dumbbell is 2 kg: 1 kg is the weight of the base itself, and each plate adds another 0.5 kg. Power is provided by two AA batteries, which last for 177 days of use.
The dumbbells are available in China for 99 yuan (approximately $14), making them an affordable solution for staying in shape at home.
