Lords of the Fallen will continue to receive free updates until 2025
CI Games has announced that developer HexWorks will continue to release updates for Lords of the Fallen throughout 2025, with plans to bring the game to version 2.0. The game is currently at version 1.7.

In a conversation with investors, CI Games Senior Vice President Tom O 'Connor explained that the goal is to maximise sales of the game by providing meaningful updates and responding to player feedback. This includes strategic discounts and regular updates based on user testing.
O'Connor also mentioned several other projects in development, including Project 3, the sequel to Lords of the Fallen, which is in full production and will undergo extensive player testing this year. Additionally, Project H is in pre-production and more details will be released at a later date.
Chief Marketing Officer Ryan Hill highlighted the positive sentiment of players, noting that free updates and DLC have led to a steady increase in Steam user ratings and online sentiment for the franchise.
This strategy will continue until 2025, with updates scheduled for the first quarter, including versions 1.8, 1.9, and 2.0.
