US plans to deploy reconnaissance drones on Bombardier aircraft

The US military is working to integrate Launched Effects (LE) unmanned platforms into Bombardier aircraft suspension components, including the G6500 model.
Here's What We Know
The LE system will be adapted for medium and high altitude launches. It is planned to be demonstrated with full functionality in fiscal year 2026. LE is designed to operate in extremely low temperatures, down to -65°C, for extended periods.
Launched Effects refers to unmanned systems capable of performing a wide range of tasks, including targeting, reconnaissance, surveillance and strikes against the enemy. They can be deployed from the air, as well as from land or sea platforms.

The source recalls that similar experiments with unmanned systems are being conducted in other countries. In particular, in France, the 3rd Regiment of Combat Helicopters tested the launch of drones directly from Gazelle helicopters during an exercise.
