The creators of The Witcher 3 have unveiled an atmospheric cinematic trailer for ambitious RPG The Blood of Dawnwalker
Polish studio Rebel Wolves, founded by CD Projekt RED veterans, has revealed a cinematic trailer for ambitious RPG The Blood of Dawnwalker.
Here's What We Know
Rebel Wolves was founded by Konrad Tomaszkiewicz, the former head of development of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and one of the key developers of Cyberpunk 2077, and his brother Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz, who was the quest director of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and was responsible for many storylines of the cult RPG. The author's style of these developers is clearly visible in every frame of The Blood of Dawnwalker.
Players can expect the same dark and atmospheric action-RPG as The Witcher 3 - one of the shown vampires even looks a bit visually similar to Geralt.
The events of The Blood of Dawnwalker will unfold in the XIV century Europe, and the clan of ancient Carpathian vampires will be at the centre of the story. The trailer shows them as more human than the ruling king and his soldiers. During this period in Europe raged plague epidemic, but vampires are immune to this disease and can even save mortals, but the consequence of this will not only expand the power of vampires, but also the partial transformation of people into bloodsuckers.
The main character of the game will be a peasant Coen, who is forced to take the help of vampires and partly became one of them. It seems that the player's actions will determine whether Coen will remain human or completely turn into a monster.
The end of the video showed some gameplay footage of an early version of The Blood of Dawnwalker, but they don't allow us to draw any conclusions about the project, and Rebel Wolves promises a full gameplay reveal this summer.
The developer has launched the game's website, which provides very little information so far, but it will surely fill up later.
When We Can Expect It
The release date for The Blood of Dawnwalker is unknown, but it has already been stated that the game will be available on PC, Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5.
