Apple releases watchOS 11.3 beta 3 for developers: new update is coming soon
Apple has just released a new beta version of watchOS 11.3 beta 3, just hours after releasing the beta for tvOS and HomePod.
Here's What We Know
The update brings the software closer to the official launch.
This beta testing cycle for Apple is not very rich in new features at the moment. watchOS 11.3 does not contain any known exclusive changes.
In general, on other Apple platforms, the new updates include support for robotic vacuum cleaners in the Home app for compatible devices, a fix for the calculator, and a new Genmoji emoji on Mac. Despite this, no significant changes have been noticed yet.
Last year's x.3 releases were also not rich in new features, which allowed beta cycles to end quickly. It is likely that the same situation will happen again this time.
Apple released only three beta versions before the RC (release candidate) release last winter, so there's a chance that this cycle will be just as short. If so, we could see the public launch of the updates in a few weeks, by the end of January.
However, for this to happen, Apple must first release beta versions for its main platforms - iPhone, iPad, and Mac - and so far, these releases remain a mystery.
Apple recently released watchOS 11.2, the second major operating system update for the Apple Watch. The update came more than a month after the release of watchOS 11.1. watchOS 11.2 is compatible with the Apple Watch Series 6 and later models, all Apple Watch Ultra models, and the Apple Watch SE 2.
