Why Bloodborne hasn't received a remaster yet: Shuhei Yoshida's theories

For many years now, Bloodborne fans have been waiting for news of a new game or remaster, but, unfortunately, to no avail. Despite the high demand, there has been no information about the game's update, unlike other PlayStation projects such as The Last of Us and Horizon Zero Dawn, which received fresh versions for new consoles.
Here's What We Know
In a conversation with Kinda Funny Games, former Sony Interactive Entertainment CEO Shuhei Yoshida expressed his opinion on this issue. He noted that Bloodborne remains one of the most popular topics of queries on his Twitter, and many people wonder why the game has not received any updates. Yoshida joked that fans were getting "frustrated" because so many games have been remastered and Bloodborne has not.
The main reason for the delay, according to Yoshida, is the employment of the game's creator Hidetaka Miyazaki. "Miyazaki really loves Bloodborne, but he is so successful and busy that he cannot do it on his own," he explained. Yoshida believes that the PlayStation team simply respects Miyazaki's desire not to pass the project on to others.
Interestingly, last year, Miyazaki expressed his satisfaction with the fact that fans continue to call for a remake. "I'm very pleased to see such passion in the community," he said.
As Bloodborne's 10th anniversary approaches in March 2025, fans are hoping for news of a possible remaster or sequel. Will we live to see the announcement? Only time will tell!
