Chinese company Xiaomi has unveiled a new electric scooter for the global market that features improved range and other important improvements.

Here's What We Know

The Xiaomi Electric Scooter 5 features a 700W motor, which is significantly more than the previous model - this will allow it to easily tackle inclines of up to 18° and reach speeds of up to 25km/h. The increased battery capacity gives the scooter a range of up to 60 kilometres on a single charge, whereas the fourth iteration had a range of up to 35 kilometres.

The Electric Scooter 5 has 10-inch tubeless tyres and a dual spring shock absorber, which ensures it has a smooth ride.

The new model from Xiaomi offers automatic front and rear lights, brake lights and parking lights.

When We Can Expect It

Xiaomi has not yet announced the launch date and price of the Electric Scooter 5, but according to insider information the novelty will be released in spring 2025 and will cost buyers €469.
