Garmin has released an updated version of the Resume Later feature for its smartwatches, such as the Fenix 8. This feature allows users to return to interrupted activities faster.

Here's What We Know

The update includes a new shortcut in the form of a blue human icon that now appears on the watch's home screen.

This allows you to quickly resume your activity without having to tap it several times, as it was before.

The Resume Later feature was created to help you continue your workout after a pause, while switching off GPS to save battery power. This feature is more convenient than a regular pause, as it allows you to save more battery for longer activities.

However, some users have noticed that the blue person icon can blend in with other elements of the watch face, making it difficult to see, especially if the watch face background is similar to the icon colour. In addition, there is another similar shortcut - the red clock icon, which allows you to quickly return to the timer.

There is also a similar option for the flashlight, which allows you to quickly activate this option without unnecessary clicks. These innovations are already available for users of the Garmin Fenix 8 smartwatch, in particular the 51 mm Solar Sapphire Edition, but it is not yet known whether this option will be available for other Garmin models, such as the Forerunner 955 or Epix Gen 2.

These changes make the use of Garmin watches even more convenient and practical for those who are often engaged in physical activities.
