Microsoft has announced an update for Xbox that will allow external USB drives larger than 16TB.

Here's What We Know

This update is already available to members of the Xbox pre-qualification programme in the Alpha Skip-Ahead circle. The update allows for multiple drive partitions to maximise storage space, and they will appear as separate devices in the storage list. Most Xbox consoles come with either 1TB or 500GB of internal storage, making this update especially useful for players with large game libraries.

Until now, Xbox had a 16TB size limit for external drives connected via USB 3.0. Users will now be able to connect and format larger drives, which will greatly increase the storage options on Xbox consoles.
