HMD, known for its own-branded phones, is preparing to expand its range and add audio accessories to it. Presumably, this will be possible thanks to TWS wireless headphones called Ampd Buds, which became known thanks to a filing with the FCC.

Here's What We Know

The design of the headphones looks quite standard: they have a flat leg with a module with a driver. But the charging case, inspired by the HMD Skyline smartphone, attracts special attention. This case is reminiscent of the style of classic Nokia Lumia. The headphones will be available in three colours: black, blue and pink - the same as the Skyline smartphones.

Another interesting feature is the presence of built-in magnets in the charging case. This will allow you to connect the case to your HMD Skyline smartphone or any other device that supports wireless charging to replenish the energy of the headphones on the go. This approach can be extremely convenient for those who are often on the move and forget to take charging cables with them.

According to the FCC filing, the battery capacity of the charging case has not yet been disclosed, but it is known that the headphones themselves have a 35 mAh battery that provides up to 5 hours of music on a single charge.

It remains to be seen when these headphones will appear on the market, but we can assume that their presentation may take place at the 19th Mobile World Congress (MWC 2025), where HMD may present other new products and accessories.
