Honor may release an updated Watch 5 smartwatch with a new design and a round face

Honor is preparing to launch a new version of its Honor Watch 5 smartwatch in China. The TUR-L19 model was listed in December 2024 on the website of the Chinese certification organisation TENAA.

The image of this device shows significant design changes compared to the original models. Instead of the usual rectangular dial, the new watch features a round display surrounded by an octagonal bezel.
The original Honor Watch 5 smartwatch was unveiled at IFA 2024 and went on sale in November of the same year. The new model is likely to be an improved version of the original, and although the exact differences between them have not yet been revealed, it is known that the device will have several important updates.
In particular, according to TENAA, the new watch will support eSIM, which allows you to use mobile communications without the need for a smartphone. The device will also feature Bluetooth connectivity for calls and support navigation systems, including GPS, BeiDou and GLONASS.




The smartwatch will run on the MagicOS operating system with an intuitive interface. In addition, the device will have NFC for contactless payments and connection to other gadgets. In terms of battery life, the watch will have a 480 mAh battery, which will provide a long battery life. It will also support wireless charging.
