Casio AE-1600H launches in Europe: rugged body, 10-year battery and stylish design

Casio officially launches the AE-1600H series of watches in Europe. The new models AE-1600H-1AV and AE-1600H-8BV are already available in stores in the Netherlands, France and Italy. They were previously available in the US under the same names.
Here's What We Know
The AE-1600H is a series of digital watches that Casio bills as "practical" and "rugged". The AE-1600H-1AV model has a classic display with dark numerals on a light background, a black case and a durable resin strap. The AE-1600H-8BV features an inverted display (light numbers on a dark background) and a grey case.
Key features include a central luminous button that makes it easier to access functions than traditional side buttons. The watch is water-resistant to 10 metres and is powered by a CR2032 battery, which provides up to 10 years of autonomy. Additional features include a dual time zone, a stopwatch with 1/100th of a second accuracy, a countdown timer and five alarms. In addition, the device has an automatic calendar that will work until 2099.

The Casio AE-1600H-1AV and AE-1600H-8BV will be available in Europe for €39.90. The exact launch date has not yet been announced. In the United States, the new products are already available for pre-order, and the official release is scheduled for 1 February.
Casio recently announced the launch of the G-Shock watch in collaboration with J Balvin in the UK. The model, which already appeared in the US in early January, will soon be available in other European countries, including the Netherlands, France, and Italy.
