Leica presents LUX Grip for iPhone with mechanical buttons for shooting

Leica has announced a new accessory for photographers, the Leica LUX Grip, which is MagSafe compatible and designed for the iPhone. This accessory simplifies shooting with controls similar to those used in classic Leica cameras.
Here's What We Know
LUX Grip attaches to the iPhone via MagSafe and supports both portrait and landscape modes. The camera is controlled by the Leica LUX app, which allows for manual adjustment and simulation of lenses typical of classic Leica cameras. This gives photographers more control over their shooting, unlike the standard iPhone app.
The main features of LUX Grip include a two-stage mechanical shutter release button, a dial for adjusting settings such as zoom, shutter speed or aperture, and two programmable buttons for quick access to frequently used functions. In addition, the accessory has a built-in battery that can take up to 1,000 shots and can be charged via USB-C in two hours.

The Leica LUX app that works with the accessory has received an update that includes new lens simulations and features to create black and white images in the style of vintage photographs. One of the new options is a grainy effect that gives the images the look of old film.
The Leica LUX Grip retails for $329, with an optional leather case with AirTag holder available for $50. Users who purchase the accessory will receive a one-year subscription to the Pro version of the app for free.
