In a recent survey conducted by GSMArena, it was revealed that most users will miss the S Pen remote control features that have been removed in the new Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra.

Here's What We Know

Even though Samsung probably based its stats on Bluetooth stylus usage statistics when making this decision, many users believe that the remote shutter release feature was useful and convenient. Some even argue that it was this Bluetooth-based feature that made the S Pen special, differentiating it from other styluses that are usually limited to pressure sensitivity and an eraser function.

The survey showed that two-thirds of users use the S Pen's remote control features at least occasionally and will miss them when they upgrade to the S25 Ultra. The removal of the remote control features could negatively impact the Galaxy S25 Ultra's popularity in the long run, despite its successful launch in South Korea, where more people ordered the Ultra than the S25 and S25+ combined.
