Kojima Production will hold an extensive screening of Death Stranding 2: On the Beach at SXSW 2025

A few hours ago, It's official: Sony will hold a State of Play show on 12 February - there will be plenty to see, which will take place at 23:00 (CET) on 12 February. It was expected that the main show will be a trailer with the release date of one of the most anticipated games of the year - Death Stranding 2: On the Beach by Kojima Production. But it looks like the game's creators have other plans.

Here's What We Know

Hideo Kojima Production has announced that Death Stranding 2: On the Beach will be unveiled at SXSW 2025 on 9th March at 23:00 (CET) in Austin, Texas.

Apparently, the public will be shown gameplay footage, reveal some details about the game and perhaps the famous game designer will personally announce the release date of Death Stranding 2, if this information is not announced at the State of Play.

The show from Sony and Kojima Productions will be streamed online and attendees of the event will be able to purchase exclusive merch.

So far, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach has been announced to be a PS5 exclusive, but few doubt that the game will eventually be released on other platforms as it was with the first instalment of the series.
