A revolution among role-playing games is coming: dataminer has published the first details of the debut project of Rebel Wolves studio, which was founded by former employees of CD Projekt RED, long before the announcement of The Blood of Dawnwalker it was known that the new RPG from the creators of The Witcher and Cyberpunk 2077 will not be as large.

Now Rebel Wolves creative director Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz shared official information about the game's duration.

Here's What We Know

In an interview with GamesRadar, Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz admitted that he doesn't know how to classify his game: AA, AAA or even AAAA - at the moment the studio is working on the quality of The Blood of Dawnwalker and strives for the highest bar.

As for the game's length, it won't be as huge as The Witcher 3, whose developers wanted to provide over 100 hours of gameplay. Now the task is to prepare content for 30-40 hours, and the game should be even more intense and eventful than the cult RPG from CD Projekt. This confirms Kurakasis' information that the game will be comparable in size to the Blood and Wine add-on for The Witcher 3.

Mateusz noted that many players spent 200-300 hours in The Witcher 3 and called it crazy.

Flashback

The events of The Blood of Dawnwalker will unfold in Europe of XIV century, and in the centre of the plot will be a clan of ancient Carpathian vampires. During the mentioned period the plague epidemic was raging in Europe, but vampires are immune to this disease and can even save mortals, but the consequence of this will be not only the expansion of vampire power, but also partial transformation of people into bloodsuckers.

The main character of the game will be a peasant Cohen, who is forced to take the help of vampires and partly became one of them. It seems that the player's actions will determine whether Cohen will remain human or completely turn into a monster.

When We Can Expect It

The release date for The Blood of Dawnwalker is unknown, but it has already been stated that the game will be available on PC, Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5.
