At the end of the weekend, the most popular gaming service Steam set a new attendance record.

Here's What We Know

On 2 March, the peak online in Steam exceeded 40.2 million users, and 12.7 million people were directly in the games.

One of the main factors in achieving the new record was the release of Monster Hunter Wilds. Despite its poor technical condition and mixed reviews, Capcom's new action game has been hugely popular, with its peak online attendance approaching 1.4 million gamers on Steam alone.

However, the most popular game remains Counter-Strike 2, with 1.7 million gamers online on the evening of 2 March.

Recall, the previous record Steam was recorded in December 2024, then the platform was connected to 39 million users.
