The platform's personal messaging has also undergone some changes. Bluesky now has a new tab called 'Requests', where messages from strangers will be collected. In addition, you can now reject unwanted chats, which will help you better control your inbox and reduce the amount of spam.

The update was announced during Bluesky CEO Jay Graber's speech at SXSW. She stressed that the decentralised structure of the platform protects it from the influence of large investors. If users don't like the changes or someone tries to buy out Bluesky, they can switch to another app without losing their network and connections.

Graber also shared its monetisation plans. The company is considering the introduction of paid subscriptions and services for developers, as well as the creation of a marketplace for custom feeds and content moderation.

In terms of artificial intelligence, Bluesky is working on a system that will allow users to control how their data is used to train AI models.

Bluesky continues to develop, offering users more tools for communication and content creation.

In January, the number of users of Twitter/X's main competitor Bluesky exceeded 30 million. The social network remains at the peak of popularity.
