Garmin has introduced software update version 19.50 for its Descent Mk3 and Descent Mk3i smartwatches.

Here's What We Know

This stable update comes a few weeks after a previous one that fixed some issues and added new features, including new payment apps and data fields.

The main changes in the new version include fixes to a number of bugs. The most important of these is the correction of inaccuracies in the calculation of battery life in some conditions, especially in the constant display mode when the device was inactive. It also fixed an issue that caused some users to see an empty space on the map at the top of the screen while navigating.

The update also fixed a glitch when setting up the graphical compass on data pages and an issue with navigation not opening to nearby dive sites in Plan Dive mode. A bug related to Auto Zoom settings and map orientation was fixed.

The 19.50 update will be available for download automatically for Descent Mk3 and Mk3i users. You can also manually initiate the update via Garmin Connect or Garmin Express.

Garmin recently fixed training issues in a new update for the Forerunner series. The 22.24 update is the second release in the 22.xx cycle and addresses a number of issues that users have experienced since installing the previous 22.22, including workouts, notifications, and Connect IQ apps.
